Enter transactions

Transactions are the heart of your portfolio. Here you can find out how to record purchases and sales correctly.

Create new transaction

Step 1: Open form

There are several ways:

  • Click on „+ Transaction“ top right
  • Or go to Activities → New transaction

Step 2: Fill in the fields

Transaction type Purchase or sale
Date When did the transaction take place?
Metal Gold, silver, platinum or palladium
Weight Quantity with unit (g, oz, kg)
Price per unit Purchase price per gram/ounce
Total price Alternatively: Enter total amount
Product Select from product catalog
Storage location Where is it stored?
Notes Free text for comments

Step 3: Save

Click on „Save“. The transaction is stored in encrypted form and your portfolio is updated immediately.

Weight units

Troy ounce oz 1 oz = 31.1035 g
Kilogram kg 1 kg = 1,000 g
💡 Tip:
For coins, the troy ounce (oz) usual. A Krugerrand or Maple Leaf weighs exactly 1 oz = 31.1035 g of fine gold.

Enter price

You have two options:

Option A: Price per unit

Enter the price per gram or ounce. The total price will be calculated automatically.

Example: 1 oz gold at €1,850/oz → Total price: €1,850

Option B: Total price

Enter the total amount. The price per unit is calculated automatically.

Example: 100g silver for € 85 → Price/g: € 0.85

⚠️ Important for performance tracking:
No profit/loss can be calculated without a price. Therefore, always enter the purchase price!

Edit transaction

  1. Go to Activities
  2. Find the transaction in the list
  3. Click on the Edit symbol (✏️)
  4. Change the desired fields
  5. Click on „Save“

Delete transaction

  1. Go to Activities
  2. Find the transaction in the list
  3. Click on the Delete symbol (🗑️)
  4. Confirm the deletion
⚠️ Attention:
Deleted transactions cannot be restored. Make regular backups!

Best Practices

  • Always enter the price - Otherwise no performance calculation
  • Select product - Facilitates resale tracking
  • Specify storage location - Important for insurance companies
  • Use notes - Dealer, invoice number, certificates
  • Correct date - Important for speculation period
