You can use the import function to restore a previous backup or transfer data to a new Vault.<\/p>\n

Start import<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Go to \u201eExport\u201c<\/strong> in the sidebar<\/li>\n
  2. Scroll to the section \u201eImport\u201c<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Click on \u201eSelect file\u201c<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Select your JSON export file<\/li>\n
  5. Click on \u201eStart import\u201c<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Import options<\/h2>\n

      Option 1: Replace<\/h3>\n

      All existing data in the Vault is replaced by the imported data.<\/p>\n

      Option 2: Merge<\/h3>\n

      Imported data is added to the existing data. Duplicates are recognized and skipped.<\/p>\n

      \u26a0\ufe0f Attention with \u201eReplace\u201c:<\/strong>
      \nThis option irrevocably deletes all existing data in the Vault. Create a backup beforehand!<\/div>\n

        2. Create a new Vault (new password possible)<\/li>\n

            • Check whether the file is a valid JSON file<\/li>\n
            • Check whether the file originates from Precious Metals Vault<\/li>\n
            • Try an older export<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
